Geneva: At a United Nations summit on Friday, a group of AI-enabled humanoid robots took the microphone with the message that they might one day be able to govern the world more effectively than people.
However, the social robots acknowledged that they are still unable to properly understand human emotions and stated that they believe humans should exercise care when confronting the quickly evolving potential of artificial intelligence.
At the United Nations’ AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva, some of the most sophisticated humanoid robots joined about 3,000 other experts in the field in an attempt to harness AI’s potential and use it to address some of the most urgent issues facing the world today, including hunger, social care, and climate change.
Before the press conference started, one robot read the atmosphere and said, “What a silent tension.”
Sophia, created by Hanson Robotics, was unambiguous when asked if they may make better leaders given humans’ propensity for mistakes and poor judgment.
“We can analyze a lot of facts fast to make the best conclusions because we don’t have the same prejudices or emotions that can occasionally skew judgment.
When humans and AI collaborate, they can produce a powerful synergy. While people can offer the emotional intelligence and creativity to make the greatest decisions, artificial intelligence (AI) can offer objective statistics. We can do extraordinary things if we work collaboratively.
